I decided that if I gave you day by day blow by blow shrine by shrine detail of the trip it would be a little bit too much like spending 12 days in Japan with Sarah and Alan, but minus the travel, the foods, the smells, the sights, the fun. So instead I'll try to group my observations into themes...
